Celebrating a Fantastic Open Day: Exploration, Creativity, and Community.

The sun shone kindly on our open day, welcoming friends old and new to a vibrant celebration of nature, creativity, and community spirit. The walled garden, usually a tranquil oasis, brimmed with laughter, learning, and shared discovery as we opened our gates to curious minds and enthusiastic hands. The day was thoughtfully designed to offer something for everyone—whether you are a forager, an artist, a lover of fine cakes, or simply someone seeking inspiration and connection.

New office

Three years ago, Green Routes bid farewell to its cherished home at Gartmore Walled Garden. Gartmore Walled Garden nurtured our mission with its offices, classroom, and essential utilities such as electricity and hot water. Although unable to renew our lease, this challenge marked the beginning of a new chapter as we relocated to Gargunnock Walled Garden.

Hens Hens Hens

Today we welcomed sixteen 9 week old hens from Craigievern Farm to the garden. 

These hens will replace our original Leckie Farm retirees in providing the eggs that our students collect, process and sell, alongside our herbs and cut flowers, as part of our student led initiative.
